Goa
is very well connected with most of the metropolitan
cities in India. You can reach Goa by air, train or
road.
By
Air – There are daily flights to Goa
throughout the year from cities like Mumbai, Bangalore
& Delhi by Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Sahara
Airlines, Deccan Airways, Kingfisher Airlines &
Go Air. Flights on a regular weekly or bi-weekly basis
are operated from other cities like Chennai, Pune
and Cochin.

Train - Goa is one of the central locations
on the Konkan railway route, which starts from Mumbai
and ends up at Trivanidrum in Kerala. There are numerous
trains on a daily basis from Mumbai, such as Konkan
Kanya, Shatabdi Express, Netravati and Hapa express.
Similarly from Delhi, one can reach Goa by the Goa
Express, Mangla Express or Rajdhani trains. There
are bi-weekly trains from Bangalore to Goa and weekly
trains from Chennai to Goa.

Luxury Coaches – There are daily air-conditioned
or non air-conditioned luxury buses that ply between
Goa and other major cities like Mumbai, Bangalore
and Pune. In Mumbai, one can get these buses either
near Metro Cinema in downtown Mumbai, or near Dadar
Station
Railway
Stations in Goa – are Tivim, Karmali,
Margao and Vasco Da Gama. The main railway station
in Goa is Margao and Vasco Da Gama.
Airport
– The only airport in Goa is at Dabolim, near
Vasco Da Gama. There is a pre-paid taxi counter with
government-approved rates. Anyone can go to the counter
and ask for a taxi to their destination by paying
at the counter. |
